What Can I Do to Help the Indianapolis Community This Thanksgiving?
By Product Expert | Posted in Community Service Projects, Indianapolis, Subaru, Volkswagen on Thursday, November 17th, 2016 at 8:51 amThanksgiving is just over a week away, and we are excited to gather with friends and family to enjoy delicious food. Now is also the perfect time to help those in need, and Indianapolis has many opportunities for you to participate in!
Food Pantries in Indianapolis
A favorite way to lend a helping hand during the Thanksgiving season (and the whole holiday season, actually) is by volunteering at one of the many food pantries around Indianapolis! Click here for a full listing of Indianapolis-area food pantries to volunteer at or to obtain food if you need it.
Besides volunteering, donating food is always appreciated, especially during the holiday season! In fact, Joe’s Auto Sales is hosting a food drive and collecting non-perishable food items from now until November 18, so feel free to stop by and make a donation! We will be dropping the food off at Dalton’s Food Pantry. Your generosity will help families in Indianapolis have a delicious and memorable Thanksgiving meal!
Thanksgiving Meals in Indianapolis
Speaking of Thanksgiving meals, there are several places in Indianapolis that will be serving hot and delicious food to community members who are homeless or have low incomes, and they would love to have an extra set of helping hands! This website offers a listing of organizations throughout Indiana (and LOTS in Indianapolis!) that will be hosting meals during the days surrounding Thanksgiving.
